It was brief back in the nineties but this winter military print is going to be back with a bang. A trend that will no doubt suit everyone as the one of the key points to this trend is camouflage print, which so easy to wear and will make any outfit stand out.
One of the key pieces to the military trend is definitely an oversized camouflage shirt or jacket which will look great over a plain or printed tee teamed with dark denim which will ensure that you are bang on trend for autumn winter; or for a more obvious take pair with some skinny jeans, and a tailored shirt accessorised with military style buttons, finished off with some lace up boots. Or if you don’t want to go for something as obvious as camouflage print then why not stick to block colours to create this look, aim for deep greens combined with blacks and browns for a more subtle approach.

In terms of accessories gold is key – brooches, statement gold buttons on blazers, chunky gold watches, anything goes. If gold isn’t your thing then beads in black and browns with also work; neutral toned leather bags and satchels help to complete this look and give a sophisticated element to any outfit.
The beauty of this trend is that it can be about an outfit as a whole or just that one statement piece that can make you stand out from the crowd, and with many stores already starting to sell military inspired pieces, get yours now to be ahead of the game.

Haha great article. Mike from TDWP! His fashion has definitely evolved over the years.
Hello, Very good style tips, but I did smile because here where I live in Wiltshire, near Ministry of Defence Salisbury Plain, the people on trend in military tend to be the military themselves, and I don’t think they’d appreciate impersonation. Actually, I’m snapping up gingham in the hope that we have another Indian summer like last year – Keep up the great work – Kind regards – Ian
It’s all kinda silly really isn’t it. I mean it was like punk stuff and other ‘street wear’. This stuff is fashioned from the street up. The original idea being that you’d buy something rough in camo’ from the old Army & Navy stores. It was the rebelious anti-estab’ look, but now wow and behold, ‘fashion’ designers (if you can call them that, as they are not designing, just copying) but are tagging onto the ideas from the street and making ‘posh’ expensive versions of street wear. Well if you have money to waste, go buy your posh camo from your over priced shops, but if you’re sensible, go to your local Army/Navy store, or even car boot sales (where there are quite often dealers in genuine army wear) and get the original gear for a better price. OR is it just the name tag you’re going for ???
